Meet Renée..
Utrecht has been my home for many years, and what I love most about this city is that there is always something new to discover — even when you think you know it by heart. I still get that little feeling of excitement every time I catch sight of the Dom Tower, cycle through the historic streets or stumble across a quiet courtyard that I hadn’t noticed before.
For me, Utrecht is much more than its famous landmarks. It’s the atmosphere, the people, the hidden corners, the independent shops and cinemas, the cafés and restaurants, and the feeling that there is always somewhere new to explore. I love the combination of a lively city and the peaceful places where you can slow down for a moment.
As a local, I want to show you the Utrecht I know and love — not just the places you’ll find in a guidebook, but also the spots I return to myself and the places that make this city feel like home. Whether you are interested in history, culture, food, architecture or simply want to experience the city like a local, I’d love to share it with you.
